l  our slow food philosophy  l

Slow Food Ⓡ is an organization that promotes local food and traditional cooking. It was founded by Carlo Petrini in Piedmont in Italy in 1986.

 

Promoted as an alternative to fast food, it strives to preserve traditional and regional cuisine and encourages farming of plants, seeds and livestock characteristic of the local ecosystem. It promotes small local businesses, and sustainable foods.

 

Afro-Boer follows a farm to plate philosophy where we grow and gather and source and serve, aiming for seasonal, and local and in doing so preserving the relationship between farmers and producers in the region.
