a Baker’s Café  l

Afro-boer “a Baker’s Café” has planted it’s multiple award-winning feet square onto the cornerstone in the East of Pretoria.

It continues to provide opportunities for teaching and training of novice enthusiasts into legends of the industry, and still gets edged on by fellow African Traveller Spirits and inspirations to advocate kinship, family and community under our flag of artisanal-inspired home-made, hand-made and wholesome offerings.

We pride ourselves that our ordinary ordinary street food and heirloom kitchen gems can be combined with a thread of heritage, and some culinary stories from all corners of this remarkable country and it’s colorful people

"A place where words like Loftus, shisa-nyama, braai, koeksister, melktert, bunny chow, springbokkie Jacaranda’s and the real makoya are all words synonymous with home-comings"
